From Twenty Cents to Transformational Success
How One Entrepreneur Turned a Humble Beginning into a Global Movement
In the digital age, success stories flood our feeds — smiling faces on Instagram, triumphant reels on TikTok, polished posts on Facebook. But behind every highlight reel lies a journey of uncertainty, long nights, and quiet determination. Few stories capture this truth more powerfully than that of Krasi Tsvetanov, whose journey from arriving in Cyprus with just twenty cents to leading international empowerment seminars is as inspiring as it is humbling.
A New Beginning with Almost Nothing
It was late June 2005 when Krasi landed in Cyprus, leaving behind Bulgaria and everything familiar. “I arrived with 20 cents in my pocket,” he recalls. “All my money had gone to pay an agent’s commission. I didn’t speak English. I didn’t know anyone. I didn’t even know how to be a barman. But I knew one thing: I was not going back.”
His first job was at a four-star hotel in Paphos. The living conditions were far from glamorous — a small room shared with five strangers, six mattresses on the floor, and no toilet. One sleepless night, he stared at the ceiling, questioning everything: “Krasi, what have you done with your life?” The answer that came from within changed everything: “You chose this. So make it count.”
That moment marked the beginning of his transformation.
Learning One Word at a Time
A few days into his new job, Krasi’s manager approached him and said bluntly, “Your English is too bad. You can’t talk to guests.” He was moved from the bar to the back of the restaurant — washing dishes and cutlery.
Instead of giving up, he decided to grow. Every day, he carried 20 English words in his left pocket and their Bulgarian translations in his right. As he walked to work, he whispered the words over and over, memorizing them. “People probably thought I was crazy,” he laughs, “but I was building my new future, one word at a time.”
Step by step, Krasi’s vocabulary and confidence grew. From a dishwasher, he became a barman, then a communicator. Over time, his genuine care for people set him apart. “I didn’t see customers. I saw stories,” he explains. “When you start caring more about people than about tips, you’ll never be broke again.”
From Cyprus to the World
Years later, Krasi took a leap of faith once again — this time on a flight to Estonia in the middle of winter. “It was January, minus 10 degrees. I didn’t know a single person there. But I went because I had a dream to learn how to speak like Tony Robbins and Peter Sage.”
He didn’t feel ready, nor did he have much money, but he followed the same quiet intuition that had guided him from the start. “Just go. Just do it,” that inner voice urged — and he listened.
That decision opened new doors. Today, Krasi is not only an international speaker and trainer but also the co-founder of Awaken Potential, a personal development movement built together with Clementine Tsvetanov. Their mission: to help people reconnect with their authentic selves and unlock their full potential.
Building Bridges and Inspiring Change
Through Awaken Potential, Krasi and Clementine have built meaningful bridges between Cyprus and Bulgaria, hosting major seminars such as Millionaire Business School, Men & Money, and From Zero to Million.
Their next landmark event, Rich Within You, will take place in April 2026 in Limassol, once again featuring international speaker Peter Sage.
Krasi also serves as the Country Director for Insight Seminars Cyprus, part of a global organization that has been transforming lives for over 47 years in 40 countries. His journey has come full circle — from washing dishes to standing on stage beside the very mentors who once inspired him.
The Power of Belief
Reflecting on his journey, Krasi is clear: success isn’t about money or status — it’s about mindset. “From 20 cents in my pocket to a successful business. From sleeping on the floor to living in a house by the sea. From cleaning dishes to teaching communication and mindset to thousands around the world,” he says.
But his message isn’t about boasting — it’s about hope. “You might feel small. You might feel stuck. But small doesn’t mean insignificant. I was that man sitting in the audience, watching the big speakers, thinking, ‘Wow, they’re so amazing. I could never be like them.’ But now I know the truth: They weren’t bigger than me — they just believed sooner.”
Awaken Your Own Potential
That, ultimately, is the philosophy behind Awaken Potential — empowering people to rise above fear, limitation, and self-doubt. Krasi’s journey serves as a reminder that greatness often begins in the smallest of moments — perhaps even with just twenty cents in your pocket.
So wherever you are on your path, remember his advice: “Stop comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle. Start where you are. Because maybe your ‘20 cents moment’ is just the beginning of your Awakened Potential.”
