ClickHouse Reaches $15B Valuation as It Takes on Snowflake and Databricks

Major Funding Round Signals Rapid Growth

Database technology company ClickHouse has raised $400 million in fresh funding, reaching a $15 billion valuation, according to Bloomberg. This marks a sharp rise from its $6.35 billion valuation in May last year, representing roughly a 2.5x increase in company value.

The investment round was led by Dragoneer Investment Group, with participation from a strong lineup of global investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, GIC, Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, the company confirmed.

Built for AI-Scale Data Processing

Founded as a spin-out from Russian search engine Yandex in 2021, ClickHouse develops high-performance database software engineered to handle the massive data volumes generated by AI agents and real-time analytics.

As demand for AI-driven infrastructure accelerates, ClickHouse has positioned itself as a direct competitor to cloud data giants Snowflake and Databricks, particularly in workloads requiring speed, scale, and cost efficiency.

Strategic Acquisition Strengthens AI Capabilities

Alongside the funding announcement, ClickHouse revealed it has acquired Langfuse, a startup that helps developers monitor, test, and evaluate AI agent performance.

Langfuse operates in the fast-growing AI observability space and competes directly with LangSmith, the observability platform developed by LangChain. The acquisition signals ClickHouse’s intention to expand beyond databases and further embed itself into the AI development lifecycle.

Open Source Roots, Rapid Revenue Growth

ClickHouse’s core database technology is open source, while its business model centers on selling managed cloud services. This approach is paying off: the company reported that its annual recurring revenue (ARR) grew by more than 250% year-over-year.

Its customer base includes high-profile organizations such as Meta, Tesla, Capital One, Lovable, Decagon, and Polymarket, underscoring the platform’s appeal across both enterprise and emerging AI-native companies.

Positioning for the Next Phase of AI Infrastructure

With fresh capital, a soaring valuation, and strategic expansion into AI observability, ClickHouse is rapidly strengthening its position in the global data infrastructure market. As enterprises and startups alike race to deploy AI at scale, competition with established players like Snowflake and Databricks is expected to intensify.
