Epic Games Store to Feature Doodle Mafia: Epic Alchemy as Free Mobile Title Starting July 24

New Freebie Leak Ahead of Official Announcement

In a recent leak that has gained traction online, the next mobile free game coming to the Epic Games Store is expected to be Doodle Mafia: Epic Alchemy, a strategic puzzle title from San Francisco-based studio JoyBits. The information comes from Reddit user MeguminShiro, known for a reliable history of accurately forecasting Epic’s mobile game giveaways just ahead of official confirmation.

The new giveaway is anticipated to go live immediately after the current promotion—There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension—expires on July 24 at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET, and will remain available for a full week. This aligns with Epic’s standard weekly release cycle for both mobile and PC freebies.

“Doodle Mafia: Epic Alchemy will become available to claim as soon as the Epic Games Store’s There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension giveaway comes to an end tomorrow, July 24, at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET.”

A Closer Look at the Mobile Game

Released on May 20, Doodle Mafia: Epic Alchemy is part of JoyBits’ long-running “Doodle” puzzle franchise. The game lets players choose between two roles—cop or gangster—within a creatively drawn crime-ridden city. Gameplay revolves around solving more than 500 alchemy-based puzzles by combining elements to craft new objects, mechanics seen across other JoyBits titles like Doodle God: Alchemy Craft DIY and Infinite Craft’er: Alchemy Puzzle.

Two primary game modes are available:

• City Mode: Focused on city-building and strategic development.

• Campaign Mode: Offers a storyline-driven experience featuring either crime-solving or heist missions, depending on player choice.

The full version of the game is regularly priced at $2.49 in the U.S. and €2.19 in the EU, although a free-to-play version, Doodle Mafia Alchemy, is also accessible via Google Play Store and iOS App Store.

Epic’s Mobile Store Expansion and Weekly Giveaways

Epic Games continues to promote its mobile store, launched in August 2024, through regular freebie campaigns. Available on iOS in the European Union and on Android globally, the store has consistently offered free mobile titles on a weekly basis, helping the platform gain traction with both developers and users.

“Epic has been promoting its mobile app store’s expansions through regular giveaways, consistently averaging one freebie per week.”

Though free game promotions are standard for Epic, it’s not common for the company to offer titles released just months prior—making Doodle Mafia: Epic Alchemy a relatively fresh addition to the giveaway lineup.

Current and Upcoming Epic Store Giveaways

Here’s a quick look at what Epic users can currently claim or look forward to this month:

• 🕹️ Civilization VI (until July 24)

• 🕹️ There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension (until July 24)

• 🕹️ Legion TD 2 (July 24–31)

“The Doodle Mafia: Epic Alchemy giveaway is expected to kick off alongside the Epic Games Store’s July 24 PC freebie, Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 Platinum Edition.”

Details on Epic’s next giveaway, scheduled for July 31, are likely to be unveiled soon—unless the company decides to bring back one of its popular “mystery game” promotions.
