Forge Reaches 1M Players & Unveils New Web3 Investors

Forge Celebrates Milestone of 1 Million Users and Announces New Web3 Investors

Forge, a leading platform dedicated to revolutionizing game marketing and community engagement, has reached a significant milestone by surpassing one million registered users. Alongside this achievement, Forge has unveiled a new set of Web3 investors, further strengthening its position in the industry.

A Major Milestone for Forge

Forge’s rapid growth trajectory is highlighted by its recent milestone of one million users, achieved within just a year of its launch. This accomplishment underscores the platform’s commitment to reshaping the way games connect with and reward their players.

Kun Gao, CEO of Forge, expressed his excitement about this achievement, stating, “Reaching 1 million users within our first year is an incredible milestone for Forge, and we couldn’t be more excited about the journey ahead. Our platform is designed to empower game developers to harness the power of community to reach and reward players, and this milestone shows that we’re on the right path. We’re doubling down on our mission of helping our partners build thriving gaming communities.”

Forge has evolved from its initial focus on gamer loyalty rewards to providing marketing tools that allow developers to build and expand their gaming communities. This shift in strategy is aimed at addressing the challenges of traditional marketing methods, which are becoming less effective in today’s dynamic market.

New Web3 Investors on Board

In addition to securing investments from prominent Web3 game protocols Ava Labs and Sui Foundation, Forge has announced several new investors. These include Chris Wang, founder of ThunderCore protocol; Dingaling; James Zhang of Crypto Art House; Shan of Project Godjira; and the advisory firm AP Collective.

These new investors join a roster of existing supporters, which includes notable names such as EVG, Formless, Hashkey, LiquidX, Polygon, and angel investors like CH Kim (KRAFTON), Gabby Dizon (YGG), Kevin Lin (Metatheory/Twitch), Matt Liu (Origin Protocol), Michael Tong (Xterio), Ralf Reichart (ESL), Ray Chan (9gag/Memeland), Sebastien Borget (The Sandbox), Steve Chen (YouTube), and Teck Chia (BinanceX/f.actor).

Parker Heath, gaming lead at Ava Labs, commented on the partnership, “It’s been a pleasure working with the Forge team. As Ava Labs focuses on ecosystem growth and user acquisition across our portfolio and game ecosystem, Forge has proven to be a valuable partner. Their product and team are both equally impressive and we plan to continue working with them to make Web3 gaming great.”

Similarly, Jameel Khalfan, head of ecosystem development at Sui Foundation, remarked, “Forge’s engagement platform provides significant value to our roster of Sui-powered games. As we expand our partnership with Forge as investors, we look forward to accelerating the growth of Sui’s gaming community and overall ecosystem of Web3-based gaming.”

Extensive Network of Game Partnerships

Forge’s platform has proven instrumental in expanding the communities of over 60 partnered games, ranging from indie developers to major studios. These partnerships have led to over 25 million in-game and community engagements, demonstrating the platform’s effectiveness in fostering player interaction and commitment.

“Our partners are at the heart of Forge’s success,” said Kun Gao. “We’ve seen incredible results from the games on our platform, with millions of actions completed by players who are more engaged and committed to the communities they’re a part of. We look forward to welcoming even more partners as we continue to scale.”

The Founders and Vision

Founded by gaming pioneer Dennis “Thresh” Fong, Crunchyroll founder Kun Gao, and Cyence founder George Ng, Forge emerged from GGWP, an AI-powered game moderation platform launched in 2020. The company’s mission is to streamline user acquisition and community engagement for game developers, allowing them to concentrate on creating exceptional games.
