Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the two-day REALTYon Expo at the impressive City of Dreams Mediterranean in Limassol on behalf of the Cyprus Business Group. I must admit that real estate is not an industry I know deeply. I have never sold property, developed luxury villas, or analyzed investment portfolios. However, business, regardless of the sector, is ultimately about people and human psychology is something I understand very well.
That is precisely what made this event so fascinating for me.
Beyond the elegant stands, large-scale developments, investment presentations, and polished marketing campaigns, REALTYon was, above all, a gathering of people trying to connect, communicate, build trust, and create opportunity. Watching how individuals presented their projects, how they interacted with potential investors, and how relationships were formed in real time was incredibly interesting from both a business and human perspective.
Held at the luxurious City of Dreams Mediterranean resort, REALTYon 2026 once again established itself as one of Cyprus’s most active and important real estate gatherings. Organised by Ultimate Group, the internationally recognised team behind the successful iFX EXPO series, the event brought together developers, investors, homebuyers, agents, architects, advisors, and professionals from across the island and abroad.
The atmosphere throughout the expo was dynamic, professional, and highly international. Thousands of visitors attended the event, exploring opportunities ranging from residential apartments and luxury villas to large-scale commercial and investment projects. More than 80 exhibitors and sponsors participated, including some of Cyprus’s best-known real estate names such as Limassol Greens, Imperio, Green Properties, bbf, Amby, INEX, Pafilia, Marfields, and many others.
What impressed me most was how structured and practical the event felt. REALTYon was not simply an exhibition where people casually walk around collecting brochures. It functioned as a working environment for serious conversations and informed decision-making. Developers, investors, and buyers had the opportunity to compare projects side by side, discuss market conditions directly with industry experts, and gain first-hand insights into the evolving Cyprus property market.
The expo floor itself was vibrant and beautifully designed, with companies showcasing modern developments, architectural concepts, and investment opportunities in a way that reflected both ambition and confidence in the future of Cyprus real estate. There was a strong sense that Cyprus continues to position itself not only as a lifestyle destination, but also as a strategic investment hub attracting international interest.
One of the highlights of REALTYon was undoubtedly the expert conference stage, where industry leaders, analysts, financial advisors, policymakers, and developers shared valuable insights on market trends, regulations, sustainability, investment conditions, and the future direction of the property sector in Cyprus.
As someone who works extensively with people through coaching, public speaking, and communication, I found it fascinating to observe how differently individuals communicate confidence, expertise, and vision. Some speakers focused heavily on data and market analysis, while others inspired through storytelling, passion, and authenticity. It was another reminder that successful business is never only about products or numbers; it is also about trust, communication, energy, and human connection.
Another particularly interesting aspect of the event was the VIP Investor Program, designed specifically for serious buyers and investors. This initiative created opportunities for personalised one-to-one meetings between investors and developers, allowing focused conversations in a more private and efficient setting. The carefully organised networking spaces and meeting rooms created an environment where real business could happen without unnecessary distractions.
The networking element of REALTYon was extremely strong throughout both days. Everywhere you looked, conversations were taking place, deals being discussed, partnerships explored, ideas exchanged, and relationships formed. There was an undeniable entrepreneurial energy in the room. Cyprus has always been a place where international business, lifestyle, and investment intersect, and this event reflected exactly that.
I particularly enjoyed observing how people presented themselves and their companies. In today’s increasingly digital and AI-driven world, authenticity and communication skills are becoming more important than ever. Technology may support business, but people still invest in people. Body language, confidence, warmth, professionalism, and emotional intelligence remain incredibly powerful tools in any industry, including real estate.
REALTYon also highlighted the diversity of opportunities currently available in Cyprus. From modern city apartments and seaside developments to sustainable projects and luxury properties, the event demonstrated that the island continues to attract strong international interest from buyers looking not only for investment opportunities but also for quality of life.
Cyprus offers something unique: a combination of Mediterranean lifestyle, strategic location, climate, international business infrastructure, and growing development potential. It is easy to understand why so many international investors continue to see the island as an attractive destination for both property investment and relocation.
What I appreciated most about REALTYon was that despite the scale and professionalism of the event, it still felt approachable and human. People were willing to talk, explain, connect, and share knowledge. Whether someone was an experienced investor or simply curious about the market, there was space for conversation and learning.
For me personally, attending an event outside my own professional field is always enriching because it reminds me how interconnected all industries really are. At the heart of every successful business are communication, trust, relationships, adaptability, and vision. Whether you are selling real estate, coaching clients, building a company, or creating opportunities, human psychology always plays a central role.
REALTYon 2026 successfully created a platform where business, investment, networking, and human connection came together under one roof. It was a highly professional and well-organised event that not only showcased Cyprus’s real estate sector but also reflected the island’s growing position on the international business stage.
I left the event with a much greater appreciation for the complexity, ambition, and human side of the real estate industry and with the feeling that Cyprus continues to evolve as a place full of opportunity, vision, and international potential.
