We often tell ourselves: ‘I want to change.’
This is our conscious decision.
At the same time, however, another part inside us says: ‘Change is not safe. I am at risk.’
This is the subconscious reaction to our decision.
This inner conflict is usually invisible to us, yet it strongly influences our behavior.
And that’s when the following appear:
- Procrastination
- Anxiety
- Fatigue
- The feeling of ‘I don’t feel like it’ or ‘I have no motivation’.
But this does not mean we are lazy. Nor does it mean we lack discipline.
It means:
One part of us wants to move forward, and another is trying to protect us.
Until both are heard, until our inner self begins to feel safe, the effort will feel heavy and exhausting.
Change begins when:
- We give space to awareness.
- We listen to ourselves.
- We observe what scares us.
- We stop pushing harder.
Then the intention stops being a struggle and becomes a natural movement and action.
Think: which part of yourself needs to be heard for your intention to become real?
